Customer & Partner Support

What do you like about working at Zinzino?

Zinzino is always open for ideas, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. You can be yourself in a casual way and there are little differences between employees, doesn’t matter if you have just started or are top management, everyone is treated equally. Zinzino does not just take care of our Customers and Partners but employees just as much.

What makes working here a good fit for you?

The balance between work and home is very good. If you communicate almost anything is possible.

What’s your background?

I was born in the Netherlands and lived there until my mid 30s. I have worked in logistics and warehouses mostly, from picking orders, forklift driver to Team Leader. When I moved to Sweden I did not work for 8 months, I explored the country.

Grew up with my parents and little sister outside the city, we moved a lot so I couldn’t pin down any of those memories. The thing I remember most is animals, there were always cat’s and dogs in our home hahaha.

Your top 3 favourite Podcasts/Books?

I love reading biographies, my favorites are on Steve Jobs and Johnny Cash. Besides that I enjoy reading the old stories on Norse Mythology.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

Ow so much to do besides work, of course my dog, she gets a lot of my attention but I love going to concerts. Especially unknown bands, never know if you find a gem. Having a drink in town with friends and good movies are a favorite too.

Jessica Toreld

Communication Manager and strategic copywriter

What do you like about working at Zinzino?

I love being part of a company that is still in transition, still being created under our feet. It love the fact that what I do here breaks new ground, change things fundamentally and takes this company into the future. Someday, years from now, I want to look back and be able to say that I was part of all this.

What does it allow you to do? Who does it allow you to become? What’s the culture like?

I get a lot of trust and freedom to help building our brand for the long-term and I get to use all of my previous knowledge and experience. I get to set a new standard for communication within this organization and that is a very fulfilling task in and of itself. The culture here is very inclusive, energetic and hard work is duly noted. Management has a clear focus on personal growth, but it’s up to us to make the most of it. You really get to make your voice heard here and that works really well for me.

What makes working here a good fit for you?

The freedom and personal growth I just talked about. The fact that I get to use everything I’ve ever learned before here. I also love the international, multicultural atmosphere and not one day that is the same as the other and that I can literally do this job anywhere. I love the fact that we have a marketing office in Adelaide, Australia.

What’s your background?

I’ve been putting pen to paper to get my message across for as long as I can remember and I have been working as a copywriter in advertising my entire professional life.

Where did you grow up?

I was born in the outskirts of Gothenburg, Sweden. I moved to the US right out of high school and then to the UK. I ended up spending ten years abroad in total before returning home again right after I had my first kid.

What were you doing before working at Zinzino?

I worked at a digital, full-service advertising agency as a strategic copywriter.

Share little details; pick a detail about your neighbourhood, the kinds of people who impacted you, your favourite food growing up.

I think it’s safe to say that my dad has made the greatest impact on my life. He has always, no matter what life would throw at me, told me to go ahead, to do it my way. Most of the time, he hasn’t even had to say the words. I’ve simply followed his lead. I still do. He’s 77.

Favourite quote:

“Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice.”

Steve Jobs

List the podcasts and books that you enjoy. One of them can preferably be for fun, or any other topic and one can relate to your niche.

The Heavyweight podcast where people get to go back in their past and make things right.

I also love the pod “Where should we begin” where you get to be a fly on the wall listening in to other couple´s therapy sessions.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

When I’m off work I chase my teenagers around trying my very hardest to keep them alive and out of trouble. When they are out of trouble I go to the gym to decompress and breathe. I have also spent the past decade trying to write a book that will never see the light of day since I have still not made it past naming the title.

What do you do that makes you ‘human’, makes you feel alive and excited?

Having other interests is critical, whether getting out and exploring, learning a different topic, binge-researching, cooking, or catching up on Netflix marathons.

I binge watch Netflix series. I try to come up with new ways to cook comfort food and I want desperately to take up skiing again. A hobby I left behind when my first kid was born and have missed every day since then. It has now been 22 years.

Jose Villar

International Business Project Manager

What do you like about working at Zinzino

Nice atmosphere with great collages, company culture where everyone counts. There’s a constant ambition to grow and be better. Chance to personal and carrier development.

What makes working here a good fit for you?

Everybody’s voice is heard and my personal development with Zinzino.

Working internationally with different countries and cultures.

What’s your background?

I usually say: I am a “Göteborgare” born in Malaga, Spain where I had a lovely and sunny childhood. I've been living in Gothenburg the last 26 years and it’s also 26 years I’ve been calling Sweden my home as I love it 😊

I Worked in different companies before Zinzino as Project Manager, mostly within the Pharma Industry.

Favourite quote:

“Accountability is what separates the best from the rest. Accountability is when you own the situation” Robert Horkings
“There is no such a thing as bud luck. If you believe in yourself and work hard to achieve your goals in life you’ll own your future.” My father

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I love reading books, favorite author Paul Bowls. Sea sport and Scuba Diving is also a passion I have had my whole life. You wont see me at any ski resort, instead I love traveling to a warm country and scuba diving when it’s cold in sweden.

Martin Hallgren

Accounting

What exactly do you do in your daily work?

I am responsible for accounting and reporting of the company's subsidiaries in Australia, Hong Kong, Italy, Latvia and Poland. I also do the payments of some commissions.

What do you like about working at Zinzino?

It is an open atmosphere in the office with a lot of really funny people. I am a bit of a prankster myself, so this makes Zinzino a quite good fit for me.

What makes working here a good fit for you?

In addition to my answer above, I would say that I have the right education and background. My parents had a smaller company during my upbringing, and I learned a lot from them regarding business and economics. I specialized in accounting at University West during bachelor years and got my MBA in Accounting and Financial management at the Business School in Gothenburg. I have also worked with accounting in both the private and public sector before I started working here at Zinzino.

What’s your background?

I grew up in Hisings Kärra which is a suburb of Gothenburg in Sweden. My first real job was at my parent’s company as a machine operator producing smaller series corrugated cardboard boxes (I definitely had to google that term in English) with fast delivery dates.

An important moment in my life was when I was 15 years old and joined a political youth league and as a consequence I started to spend more time with people from other parts of Gothenburg. Most of my new friends went to good high schools, studied at the business school or at Chalmers University and some of them even had already their own companies. These people were just a few years older than me, so they became good role models with good influence. But of course, we also partied a lot together 😉

Your top 3 favourite Books?

I love the books of Ayn Rand, especially Atlas Shrugged and Anthem. The millennium series from Stig Larsson and David Lagercrantz is also pretty good.

Greta Billing

Investor Relations

What do you like about working at Zinzino

Personal growth, teamwork and constant development are the top 3 for me. Inspiring the change in life to our customers, Zinzino inspires us to achieve our goals, develop our skills, and work towards making difference in the world. The passion to feel personal grow and working towards common goals globally have been following me throughout the years at Zinzino.

What makes working here a good fit for you?

Since we spend most of our life working, it is crucial to feel comfortable, safe and growing at your position. I love Zinzino products, working in the international environment and setting new goals and working towards them in my position. Earlier in my career, as soon as I got bored, or felt that I am not developing in the workplace, I would quit the job immediately. I have worked at Zinzino since 2013 which explains quite much. Exciting projects, new challenges and the best team makes Zinzino good fit for me.

What’s your background?

I grew up in the beautiful Lithuania. After university studies I worked as a tourism manager in the travel industry. I moved to Sweden in 2011 and after couple of years of studies and jobs in other companies I started at Zinzino in 2013. My parents are both working in the pharmaceutical industry and I used to spend my childhood at the university of medicine observing my mom researching different medicine and inspiring her students. That made a great impact on me and affected my choices in the future.

Apart from my family I was inspired by many people that showed/expressed passion in their lives: kings, athletes, philosophers, colleagues, random people that I spoke to at some casual occasion.

Favourite quote; or Your top 3 favourite Podcasts/Books?

My favorite quote: ”if you want to change the world – start with yourself” (Mahatma Gandhi).

Favorite books for the past 6 years are fiction by Astrid Lindgren, Camilla Brinck, Hans Christian Andersen and some other authors that my daughter adores Paolo Coehlo” Alchemist” and Brené Brown” Dearing Greatly” (I love Brenés Podcast – she is amazing). When I need a brainwash” Smartless” is a perfect entertainment.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I love travelling the world with my family, reading books with my daughter, or watching a movie with a bowl of popcorn in the sofa :D However, I do not like lazy weekends, since it seems that I am missing out something, therefore, anything like sports, theater, nature adventures – I love it!

Last year I tried winter bathing and now a hiking tour in the is on the” to do” list.

Anja Svedberg

Material Planner

What do you like about working at Zinzino?

I have only worked at Zinzino for just a couple of months now, however, it has been great months so far. Not only do I have great colleagues around me, I also feel like I can contribute with something good to the company through my work. Another positive thing to mention about Zinzino as a workplace is the culture. Everyone that works here has a very welcoming attitude towards all people, which is very important.

What makes working here a good fit for you?

I feel like working at Zinzino gives me a great opportunity to work with what I am passionate about and what I have studied. In addition, it also allows me having fun at work. Being in a good team is essential for me to thrive at a workplace.

What’s your background?

I grew up in a small town called Trollhättan, in Sweden. Since I was a young child, I have always loved planning. It has been a big part of my life. Already when I could write by myself, I always made lists and detailed time schedules for my birthday parties. The planner inside me has been stuck ever since then. A few (read: many) years later, I decided to move to Gothenburg to study logistics. In the spring of 2021, I graduated from the logistics program at university and a
few months later, I am sitting here as a material planner at Zinzino. I am very proud to now be working with what has followed me since I was a kid.

Favourite quote; or Your top 3 favourite Podcasts/Books?

My top 3 favorite podcasts are:

- P3 Dokumentär
- Topp 1 i Sverige
- Rättegångspodden

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

Since I have a lot of energy, I often work out or go for long walks, listening on podcasts, during my spare time. My favourite type of work out is - believe it or not – going to the gym, how boring it ever seems. When I am not working out, I like visiting my parents. They live with our dog on the countryside, so I love getting a break from the city on the weekends.

Other than that – it is not a rare sight to see me at the sofa in front of Netflix on Friday evenings.

Carin Andersson

Operations Manager/Project Manager

What do you like about working at Zinzino?

Nice colleagues, we laugh a lot. It is a company in constant growth - so there is always something new in the pipeline, might be a new country to open, a new product launched or something new on the website. It is fun to see how we grow in so many areas. I like the products we sell. Company is taking care of the employees, for me the option of flexible hours is valuable when I get to choose when my working day starts. Zinzino is also generous in terms of “Friskvård” [wellness], fruit baskets and kick offs.

I have worked in Zinzino for so many years that I have followed the journey from when we were a small company, only existing in 3 countries to the point where we are today, a global presence. I have had the privilege to follow Partners on their journey to success and it feels great to be participate in tools that makes life easier for them.

I believe Zinzino as a company see the benefits in recruiting internally when there are open job opportunities. For the right persons, with the right mindset and background there will be openings for learning new things.  Throughout the years, I have had the chance to work with customer service as a customer service manager, on some occasions done something market-related, been a backup of financial information, been involved in IT issues for many years and it is where I am now. Nowadays, however, it is nice that colleagues with the right skills do the job I tried to help with in previous years.

Zinzino for me is multicultural, both in the many languages spoken at HQ but also through all the offices and colleagues around the world. One thing I got so used to, something I couldn’t imagine when I went to school is how frequent I would be using English. Today I communicate in English on daily basis. I have gone from being a shy schoolgirl, not liking the English classes, to give speeches to large groups over the years. This is something that I am very proud of.

What makes working here a good fit for you?

I feel valued for my competence within the company. I enjoy learning new colleagues what I can, but I also learn so much from all the new colleagues who contribute with their skills.

What’s your background?

Prior to Zinzino I worked for a Medical Device company, both in their cleanroom environment and as a material planner. But since 2000, I have worked in direct sales companies.

I grew up in Mölndal (Gothenburg area), just close to where we have the office now. I love where I am in life. I have my family close nearby and most of the friends close nearby as well. Together with childhood friends we commonly save a small monthly amount (not almost noticeable) to make sure we all had possibility’s during years of studies, parental leaves and so on, to make sure we could travel together. During the years, we went to New York, Berlin, but most often to different places in Italy; Lovely food, lovely sightseeing and Lovely whether. We also meet up a few times a year for sports activity and parties. During the years colleagues also turned in to be lifelong friendships.

Favourite quote?

I try to live by a simple quote “Att välja glädje” – it makes a difference in live when you start focus on the positive things, even the small ones will impact you.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I share a summerhouse with my mum and my sister, so a growing interest is renovation of the house and working in the garden. When it comes to shopping my weak spot is shoes, I love them, and I can never have to many! Travelling is another passion, my spouse and I love travelling to warm and sunny places. I have two nieces that I love and spoil as much as it is allowed being an auntie.

Orsolya Fekete

Partner and Customer Support

What do you like about working at Zinzino?

By moving to another country, we find our way to learn a new language, customs, gestures, and it takes time to adapt to a new culture. However, the culture we were born and raised into is our asset that will accompany us. Zinzino has given me the opportunity to meet new people, different cultures and traditions, whilst I also got the chance to speak my mother language day by day. Everyone has a characteristic way of thinking, feeling, judging, and acting and I do believe everyone in the “room” has something unique to contribute.  The popular Swedish “fika” is the perfect moment for a shared laughter which helps us to bond with others, creates common ground and a sense of belonging.

What makes working here a good fit for you?

The diversity of the worktasks ensures that no day is like any other. I really enjoy interaction with our customers and partners by answering even the most trivial questions. I get a deep sense of satisfaction when solving problems or helping people out in one way or another. One conversation can easily turn a bad day into a good one which makes you feel good when the day is done!

What’s your background?

I was born and raised in a small town in Transylvania, Rumania, surrounded by my family, neighbours, and friends. Here:

  • Soup is what we have at lunch for the first course, not when we are sick.
  • There is no dish without paprika powder or sour cream.
  • Fried fish is tasteless in the absence of crushed garlic and water.
  • If you were to ask me: polenta (basically just boiled cornmeal) can be combined with almost everything.
  • We know the truth behind Dracula’s story: he wasn’t “Count Dracula” but “Vlad the Impaler”, he was good, fighting for justice in his own wicked and medieval way.
  • From the bear capital of Europe, we know that bears are not to play with. 😊

Favourite quote, top 3 favourite Podcasts/Books?

„All that mankind has done, thought, gained, or been it is lying as in magic preservation in the pages of books.”( by Thomas Carlyle) and „Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people who never knew each other, citizens of distant epochs. (by Carl Sagan)  ’

Needless to say; I love books!

My favourite is „A láthatatlan ember” (Slave of the Huns- which translates literally as The Invisible Man)- telling a story that truly inspires me transporting me totally to its historical setting.

„Az embernek csak az arca ismerhető, de az arca nem ő. Ő az arca mögött van. Láthatatlan.” (by Géza Gárdonyi) „Only the face of a man is known, but his face is not him. He’s behind his face. Invisible.”

Another favourite book is “The Little Prince” written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry- which captivates me by drawing unflattering portraits of grown-ups as being hopelessly narrow-minded. In contrast, children come to wisdom through open-mindedness and willing to engage the invisible, to explore the world around them and within themselves.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I am proud mom of my 6-year-old son, who loves fishes, underwater creatures and everything involved. This is how you get to know Finding Nemo and Finding Dory characters by heart, furthermore the hidden secrets of the depths and everything you probably forgot about aquatic food chains. So, if it were up to us then the ocean would probably not remain unexplored.

“Ha van még valami tiszta ezen az elveszett világon, azt máshol nem találom, csak a fiam szemében látom.” (If there is anything pure left in this lost world, I can’t find it anywhere else, I can only see it in my son's eyes.”)
